Course Contact Hours
Each organization determines how exact contact hours convert to CEs. For most organizations, one contact hour counts as one hour of continuing education. The number of contact hours for each of the Dr. Sears Training & Certification courses is as follows:
- Six-week, Family Course (L.E.A.N. Start) = 30 contact hours
- Six-week, Prenatal Course (L.E.A.N. Expectations) = 30 contact hours
- Six-week, Adults/Seniors Course (Prime-Time Health) = 30 contact hours
If you choose to obtain all certifications available, an initial certification in one of the previous courses is required and lasts a total of six (6) weeks. Each additional course is an additional three (3) weeks of training time and will be completed consecutively after the completion of the initial six-week course. Contact hours for the three-week extension courses are as follows:
- Three-week, Prenatal Course (L.E.A.N. Expectations) = 15 contact hours
- Three-week, Adults/Seniors Course (Prime-Time Health) = 15 contact hours
