Sears began developing the L.E.A.N. Start program seven years ago and today the programs help children and families all over the world make healthier choices.

The most recent version of L.E.A.N. Start was officially launched in 2007 in conjunction with a county children & families commission in California where over 1,200 parents and caregivers have participated in programs.

As shown, clinical data from these programs show that after taking part in a L.E.A.N. Start class, participants were very confident in their ability to make important health related decisions (scale = 0 to 5):
