In our L.E.A.N. Expectations workshops for new mothers, we make a point to remind moms of the following:

Your doing the most important job in the world. Your days as the mother of a new baby may seem endless. You do the same things over and over again: feed the baby, change the baby, help her fall asleep, do the laundry. The baby wakes up, and you start all over again. When you are tired, and maybe a little bored, you lose sight of the big picture. Remind yourself that you are doing the most important job in the whole world. You are nurturing a new life. Your baby will not be a baby for long, but the way you care for him now will help him become the loving, caring person you want him to be someday.
